I am a writer, an artist, an educator, and an administrator. I’m a member of SCBWI, and I live in Florida with my husband, one teenager, and the cutest dog ever (one college student home not often enough! :)). I want to share stories that help others see the good in themselves and in the world!

I’ve got another (mostly completed) blog  entitled fortyandtwentyblackbirds.com which I enjoyed for several years. It was all about pie–learning to bake it (as a celebration of my 40th birthday) and the people who loved eating it. The blog solidified my desire to write, and it led to my first publishing credit in Where Women Cook in 2012. I was thrilled to have a biographical essay and an original recipe published. I can’t wait to publish more of my work!
